Steelmaking

Estabilished in 1951, it aims at developing all activities that contribute to the progress and the improvement of steels fabrication technique.

The Steelmaking Technical Committee has recently focused its training and knowledge dissemination activities in relation to proper energy and raw material management in steelmaking, given the criticality of these issues in the current production environment.
In addition to these activities, which are particularly keenly felt in the current economic climate, the focus is maintained on traditionally covered areas of interest related to innovation and management of electric furnaces, secondary steelmaking systems and the practice of solidification by continuous casting and ingot production.
